The Incarnation
The birth of Christ is one of the biggest events in history. Because this means that the Saviour has come to save us. But from what was He supposed to save us?
He needs to save us from sin. Save us from the judgement we deserve. Because all of us have sinned and therefore all of us deserve the eternal judgement. All of this could sound awful, but the birth of Jesus brings hope to a fallen humanity. The story doesn't end here.
God in His love and mercy send Jesus. The God who made the universe, planets and stars, became a little baby in a manger. Hence, the incarnation. The one most high, became the lowest. The infinite becomes an infant. The Maker becomes man. instead of man working his way up to God, God came down to man. That is what we celebrate on this day. God so loved the world that He send His only begotten Son (John 3:16)
Jesus Christ died for your sins. Everyone who turns away from their sin and trusts in Jesus will be saved. And more, we are being made righteous in the eyes of God through the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. This is the hope we have.
If you're a christian, praise Him this day. If you don't trust in Jesus yet, take a moment to think about the things I said. I pray that you consider wat God has done for you and that you will put your trust in Jesus this day.
